Zoo Trip

We took a trip to the zoo last week. We did have to cut our trip short because of more hail and tornadoes. But we did get to see some of the new additions they've made to the zoo. The children's zoo is new and it was lots of fun. The kids got to pet the goats and see some really cute pigs and rabbits and chickens. It was a fun day even with the crazy stormy weather!

Ryan's Last Day of School

These are just a couple pictures from Ryan's last day of school. It's amazing how far he's come this year! He had two wonderful teachers, Mrs. Sheri and Mrs. Jenny. We are going to miss them so much! (We just learned that Mrs. Jenny had her little boy, Miles, today! Congratulations Mrs. Jenny and family!)

One of Ryan's best friends was in his class this year. He and Remi have been friends since they were born. They were born only 15 days apart and they love playing together! This was the best picture I could get of them on the last day of school. They were both ready to go!!

This is a picture I found of the first day of school this year. Ryan was NOT happy about going to school.

Oh Hail!

It's spring here in Oklahoma and that means it's tornado season. We've had a couple of really big storms that came pretty close to our home. They were a little too close for comfort. One of the storms produced very large hail. We had taken cover in our neighbors tornado shelter when we heard this horribly loud banging on the garage door. We ended up having quite a few holes in our roof. The bad thing about that is that just ONE week earlier we had had our roof completely replaced. We had a bent gutter and my car had a ding or two in it. And the windshield in my car was cracked. Not nearly as bad as some of the other cars who had their windows completely knocked out. Our neighbors back window or her house was shattered as well. I think we came out pretty lucky. These are a few pictures of what we found when we came out to find...

Ryan holding the massive hail

The kids thought it was so cool! They were throwing it down the driveway and pretending they were bowling!

That's my hand holding the hail...softball size

This is the view we had as we were coming out of the shelter

All the kids in the shelter...my kids had a blast they're not afraid of any stinkin' tornadoes!

These are just some pictures of Kate I took. I made the shirt she's wearing and I just had to have some pictures of her in it.

Mother's Day 2010

I had a great Mother's Day! When I woke up the kids brought me a card and inside the card was this beautiful necklace. (Except mine had my kids names on it!) I love you to the moon and back is something I tell the kids all the time. I absolutely love this necklace! It's from this amazing store on Etsy.

I also got a beautiful Coach purse from Matt. I absolutely love it! After getting all my great gifts we went to Louie's to have lunch with Matt's mom, Mark and Whitney. It was so good! Then Matt took the boys to see Iron Man 2 and Kate, my mom and I went shopping! It was a great day!

Mother's Day Dinner

We had a great Mother's Day dinner at my mom's house. My grandparents and both of my dad's brothers came over. The kids enjoyed playing outside while their Papa cooked out on the grill. It was a fun time getting to catch up with everyone.

Mother's Day Luncheon

My mom had a Mother's Day luncheon for her sisters, her mom and myself. It was a fun time with family. Here are a few pictures.
